Cardi B has threatened to sue the anonymous caller who reported her to child protective services (CPS) as a prank.

The Bodak Yellow hitmaker jumped on Instagram Live from her hospital bed on Monday night to reveal that CPS officers conducted a wellness check at her home after they received a report of child abuse from an anonymous caller.

"For the child protective services to come to my f**king house? Not my house, my gated mansion, at 11 p.m. while my children are sleeping because there's an anonymous call that there been going on that, that my kids have been getting abused and beaten. Are you f**king dumb?" she blasted. "This is when the pranks start getting too far."

She continued, "We're the only coloured people in my neighbourhood completely and for motherf**kers to pop up in my house with cops and child protective services because you motherf**kers wanna do an anonymous call involving my children... I promise you this, I'm gonna sue child protective services for f**king coming to my house at whatever the f**k time it is."

The rapper, who has three children, then stated that she was going to hire a private investigator to "get to the bottom" of the situation and subsequently sue whoever placed the call.

"We don't play that s**t. My kids live great. My kids have never been touched, never gotten hit, no matter how annoying they are, I never hit my kids," she stated.

Cardi, real name Belcalis Almanzar, is the mother of three children - daughter Kulture, six, son Wave, two, and a new daughter who was born in September. She shares her kids with her estranged husband, rapper Offset.

The I Like That hitmaker did not explain why she was in the hospital.
