Sean 'Diddy' Combs' has spoken to his children from prison on his birthday.

The rapper's seven children gathered together to wish Combs a happy birthday while he's in prison awaiting trial for alleged sex trafficking.

Quincy, 33, Justin, 30, Christian, 26, twins D'Lila and Jessie, 17, and Love, one, were seen in a video posted on Justin's Instagram page, while Chance, 18, joined in on speakerphone.

Justin shared the video on Instagram of them singing Happy Birthday to their father, 55, and blowing out candles on a cake, while Diddy's voice can be heard on the phone.

"I can't wait to see y'all, and I just want to say I'm proud of y'all - especially the girls," he said. "I mean, all y'all for being strong. Thank y'all for being strong and being by my side."

He added that he has the "best family in the world," saying, "My birthday, I'm happy. Thank y'all for giving me this call. Thank you very much. I love y'all."

He hinted that his children may be visiting him at the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn soon, saying at the end of the conversation, "See you in a couple of days."

The disgraced rapper's children have remained supportive of their father, despite the increasing accusations against him. Last month they released a joint statement, saying, "The past month has devastated our family. Many have judged both him and us based on accusations, conspiracy theories, and false narratives that have spiralled into absurdity on social media. We stand united, supporting you every step of the way. We hold onto the truth, knowing it will prevail, and nothing will break the strength of our family."
