Billie Eilish has called Donald Trump "someone who hates women".
During her latest concert in Nashville, Tennessee on Wednesday night, the singer expressed her support for her fans after Republican Party nominee Donald Trump was declared the winner of the 2024 presidential election earlier in the day.
"Waking up this morning, I kinda couldn't fathom doing a show on this day," Billie, who was visibly emotional, told the audience. "But.. the longer the day went on I kinda had this feeling of it's such a privilege I get to do this with you guys and that we have this in a time that..."
After a short pause, the Ocean Eyes singer continued, "I just love you so much and I want you to know that you're safe with me. You're protected here and you're safe in this room."
Later on in the show, Billie introduced her 2021 track Your Power as a song that chronicles "the abuse that exists in this world upon women".
The 22-year-old continued, "Someone who hates women so, so deeply is about to be the President. This song is for all the women out there. I love you, I support you."
Ahead of the election, Billie encouraged her American fans to vote for Democratic Party candidate Kamala Harris.
"Times are really scary and a lot is at stake," the What Was I Made For? hitmaker said in a TikTok video earlier this year. "I know that if you're in this room and you support me, you support women and I hope that you will vote for Kamala Harris."
Additionally, Billie's 2018 single When the Party's Over was used in an ad by Harris's campaign.
