Taylor Swift has broken her silence over her "unbelievable" Grammy nominations.
During her performance at Toronto's Rogers Centre on Thursday, the Shake It Off singer reflected on receiving six nominations, including Album of the Year, for The Tortured Poets Department last week.
According to social media videos from The Eras Tour show, the 34-year-old thanked her fans for embracing the album and supporting her decision to revamp the concert to include a section of new songs.
"You guys did something over the course of the last few months, what you did with embracing Tortured Poets Department, the album - it's truly blown my mind. Because it's truly emotional to me. This album - I wrote it during the Eras Tour," she told the crowd.
"We basically were like working really hard to secretly put together a new chapter of the Eras Tour of the Tortured Poets Department, and we wanted to surprise you guys with it. And you guys have just been so wonderful about digging into this album and understanding where I was coming from with it... Everything that happens is a direct reflection of the passion you show. And you guys got this album nominated for six Grammys... It's unbelievable. So thank you."
Taylor made history with the nominations as she became the first female artist to be nominated for Album of the Year seven times. She has already won the most coveted prize four times for Fearless, 1989, Folklore and her 2023 record Midnights.
She is also up for Best Pop Vocal Album as well as Record and Song of the Year and Best Music Video for Fortnight and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for Us with Gracie Abrams. The winners will be announced on 2 February 2025.
The Anti-Hero singer kicked off The Eras Tour in March 2023 and is now on the home stretch. The tour will conclude on 8 December after five more shows in Toronto and three in Vancouver.
