It’s time! Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas is You back in Top 40

Santa, is that you? Mariah Carey fires the starting gun on the 2024 Christmas season on The Official Chart as All I Want For Christmas Is You?re-entering the UK Top 40 today at Number 38.
It’s the first indication of who to keep an eye on as the biggest chart race of the year unfolds next month. Last year’s Official Christmas Number 1, WHAM!’s Last Christmas trails Mariah slightly at Number 43.
Once again fending off competition from Gigi Perez and ROSÉ?and Bruno Mars, Gracie Abrams’ That’s So True?remains the most-streamed song in the country of the past 7 days (6 million streams), holding strong at Number 1 for a second week.

Gracie also sees synth-pop banger Close To You?re-enter the Top 40 today, jumping 10 to its highest-ever position of Number 31.

Chappell Roan’s HOT TO GO!?serves up a brand-new peak (4), as Teddy Swims’ The Door?enters the Top 5 for the first time, up three (5). Teddy also secures his third Top 10 single this week, Bad Dreams?jumps up seven (8).
Sabrina Carpenter’s latest hit Bed Chem continues to rise, reaching a brand new peak of Number 6.

Following weeks of upward momentum, Billie Eilish’s WILDFLOWER finally blooms into a Top 10 hit, flying up four to Number 7. It becomes Billie’s 14th?Top 10 single, and the fourth from HIT ME HARD AND SOFT.

Myles Smith?earns this week’s highest new entry with brand new single Nice To Meet You?debuting at Number 12, netting the Luton singer-songwriter his second UK Top 40 single.
