Country music star Jamey Johnson has been arrested in Tennessee.
Officers from Tennessee Highway Patrol arrested modern outlaw country singer Johnson for alleged possession of drugs and speeding, local Nashville network WTVF Channel 5 reported.
The singer-songwriter recently was taken into custody in Williamson County. His bond was set at $500,000 (£395,000).
"We can confirm that Jamey Johnson was arrested on Sunday, 17 November in Williamson Country," the Tennessee Highway Patrol told the network. "The incident is still under investigation."
Johnson recently released his first new album in 14 years, Midnight Gasoline, on 8 November. It includes the song Sober, which gives a real-life look into his historic battle with the bottle.
Johnson told Billboard he took his last drink in September 2011 and quit smoking marijuana in 2015. These days, he said he will, from time to time, indulge in a smoke, but that he is "sober for the most part".
Johnson's popularity grew in the 2000s with the release of albums including That Lonesome Song in 2008 and The Guitar Song, which reached number one on the US country chart in 2010. Some of his most popular tracks include 2005's The Dollar, 2008's In Colour and 2009's High Cost of Living.
