Last night, AJ Tracey and Pozer joined Capital XTRA Evenings with Kamilla Rose.
Fresh from releasing their brand-new single ‘Heaterz,’ AJ Tracey and Pozer both talked up potential future collaborations on Capital XTRA, with AJ Tracey hinting that he could once again link up with Skepta and Lancey on new music. While talking up his own hopes of working with Stormzy, Pozer also admitted that he had to try not to ‘fan out’ when working with AJ Tracey on their new track, an artist he admired growing up!

AJ Tracey hints at future collabs with Skepta and Lancey after linking up with Pozer for new single ‘Heaterz’
KR: “Is there any other artists that you'd like to collab with, like, the whole intergenerational kind of vibe? Is there anyone else?”
AJT: “Me or him?”
KR: “Both of you. So like, Pozer, we’re saying AJ is two generations above you… So is there anyone else like from either AJ’s generation or even above that that you’d like to collab with in the future?”
P: “Boy, I’m going to have to think still! Skepta, most definitely.”
AJT: “Yeah, come on. The G.O.A.T.”
P: “Yeah, you have to. Urm, I don’t know…”
AJT: “Stormz?”
P: “Yeah, Stormz definitely.”
AJT: “That’s too good though. They both make sense.”
KR: “I think they both makes sense. What about you AJ? Anyone from let’s say above or below, because you’re in the middle.”
AJT: “Above and below. Above, I’ve already got a tune with Skept, but I definitely need to lock back in with him, you get me? So Skept, if you see this, shout me. Shout me, trust me. Shout me, bro. It’s been a minute! In terms of people younger than me, I’ve always got my ears open. Obviously, I’ve been a fan of Lancey [Foux] forever, you get me?”
KR: “That would be cold.”
AJT: “Early, early. We already got a rhythm, but I would love to lock back in with Lancey, even though he’s my generation though. But younger than that, I rock with Len, I rock with Fimi [Fimiguerrero], you get me? All them man. The CONGLOMERATE tape was tough. Yeah, I was lucky with that one. I don’t know. You know me! I’ll be real, if you look back on my music… Do you know what it is, yeah? I’m so specific with my collabs. It needs to make sonic sense, like, even if we’re bredrins. You can be bredrins with someone and the music just doesn’t make sense. Do you know what I’m saying? But there’s some people I want to lock in with, man, for sure.”

KR: “Did you listen to AJ growing up, Pozer?”
P: “Oh yeah! Man tried not to fan out.”
AJT: “I’m an old man. You know what it is though? It’s a mutual thing. Trust me, trust me. Because I approached him, like, ‘Yo, man’s a fan.’ Do you get it? ‘I’m a fan of what you do, bro.’ Do you get it? And when it’s reciprocated, it was just lovely.
P: “That’s why the tune’s so good.”
KR: “So literally, like, growing up and thinking what, how many years later – what, eight years later – ‘I’m actually on a tune with him.’ That is a flex, I can’t lie!”
P: “Yeah, bro.”
AJT: “Rightly so though. You earned it!”
