Taylor Swift has praised the "glittery" costumes she wears on tour for keeping negative emotions at bay.

The 34-year-old singer has been on the road since March 2023 with The Eras World Tour - and also released her album, The Tortured Poets Department, and re-released her Speak Now and 1989 albums during that time.

This month, she unleashed The Eras Tour Book which is filled with details, photographs and anecdotes from her time on the road - including her realisation that her tour outfits could lift her out of even the worst mood.

She writes, per PageSix, "One thing I knew from the start: We had to open with Cruel Summer to blast us into the energy of this show.

"Something about the combination of that song and that Versace glittery bodysuit I get to wear can pull me out of any funk, fix any headache, heal sore muscles."

She even hints she orchestrated her set list to coincide with the sun setting each day, explaining, "I always adored the shows when the sunset happened at the same time as the Lover era, just pink skies on pink skies."

Swift has just a few more days on the road before her epic career-spanning tour comes to an end.

She will take her final bow at the BC Place stadium in Vancouver, Canada, on Sunday 8 December after an exhausting 149 concerts.
