Tina Knowles has cleared the air over a social media mystery, in the midst of allegations that her son-in-law Jay-Z drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl in 2000.
Earlier today, a screenshot circulated on social media claiming that Beyoncé's mother had 'liked' a post on Instagram about the allegations against Jay-Z.
In response to the speculation, Tina posted a Notes app statement on Instagram claiming that her account had been hacked.
"I was hacked," the note read.
"As you all know I do not play about my family. So if you see something uncharacteristic of me, just know that it is not me!"
"Please stop playing with me!" she added in the post's caption, before paraphrasing a Bible verse: "No weapon formed against my family shall prosper."
In an amended complaint filed on 8 December, the rapper was accused of drugging and raping an unnamed teenager at a house party in Manhattan, along with Sean 'Diddy' Combs.
Jay-Z responded to the allegations in a lengthy statement posted to his music label Roc Nation's X page, describing them as "heinous" and damaging to his family.
"Children should not have to endure such at their young age," he penned. "It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice meant to destroy families and human spirit."
