Mariah Carey has cancelled one of the shows on her Christmas tour after coming down with the flu.

The self-proclaimed Queen of Christmas has come down with the flu during her favourite time of the year.

The All I Want for Christmas Is You singer announced on X on Wednesday that she was too sick to perform that night in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

"Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I've come down with the flu," she told her followers just hours before the concert. "It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight's show. I love you all so much."

Mariah is currently in the middle of her U.S. Christmas Time tour, which kicked off in California in November and concludes on 17 December in New York.

She is next slated to perform at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey on Friday, although it is currently unclear if she will be well enough to go through with the show.

Earlier this week, the pop diva found out her 1994 Christmas classic had returned to the top of America's Billboard charts when her 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe came out on stage with flowers during her concert in North Carolina.

"Last night on stage in Raleigh, North Carolina, I found out that All I Want For Christmas Is You returned to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100," Mariah captioned a clip of the moment.

"I couldn't have dreamed of a better time or place to celebrate the news than on stage with my amazing fans, my kids and my #Christmastime tour family. I love you and am so grateful to you all M."
