Pete Doherty shifted 5,000 tickets for his upcoming show at the Royal Albert Hall in less than half an hour, according to reports.

The Babyshambles star plays his biggest ever solo date at the historic London venue later this year.

Tickets for the gig went on-sale on Saturday and are understood to have all been snapped-up in 20 minutes.

Doherty has played a series of exclusive one-off gigs in recent weeks, reportedly charging £15,000 for a private show at his Wiltshire home this weekend.

It is unclear if the Royal Albert Hall gig, which takes place on April 26, will feature special guests. Last year, Carl Barat joined Doherty on-stage at the Hackney Empire.
