Tina Knowles has launched a tirade at those who criticised her daughter Beyoncé's NFL halftime show.

Many had called out the Texas Hold 'Em hitmaker for making a gun hand gesture during her performance that streamed on Netflix on Christmas Day.

The gesture is banned by the football league and a 15-yard penalty is imposed on any player caught doing it.

Knowles hit back via Instagram: "It is mind-boggling to me that you would take your precious Christmas Day and watch a performance of someone you hate and you don't think has talent so that you can go talk ish about it later."

"Obviously you are so obsessed with them, addicted to them, and secretly admire them, wish you could be them, that you cannot help but to watch and critique and comment and say dumb ridiculous stuff that makes you look like a joke!" she continued.

"So go to another channel when it's halftime, watch goofy cartoons or Bozo the Clown, or something you can relate to and see yourself in. Said with love."

The fashion designer concluded her clapback by quoting Isaiah 54:17: "No weapon formed against me shall prosper."

Beyoncé's sister and former Destiny's Child bandmate Michelle Williams was present for the halftime performance, as were her troubled husband, Jay-Z, and their daughters Rumi and Blue Ivy.
