SZA has hit back at body-shaming trolls, who have made her feel less confident about interacting with fans.

The 35-year-old singer reacted after one fan re-posted a video of her on X in which she excitedly updated fans on her activities from the days of Covid-19 lockdowns.

The fan re-shared the footage and added a caption stating, "I miss this era so much."

However, the post drew the attention of one cruel follower who wrote in response, "aka before she got big and bbl culture like."

Hitting back at the comment, the Kill Bill singer explained that she had effectively stopped interacting with fans online due to such commentary.

She wrote in response, "Yall say weird s**t like this and wonder why I'm different and don't feel comfortable (with) yall anymore . Lol."

Reflecting on her lockdown video, the star later recalled, "Covid was hard ... my granny had just died .. I was hella depressed n masking. Not eating. Over working out. But I always had my childhood home to n get lost. Still do. Grateful to be in a much better mental space now. s/o to those days tho."

Hinting she hopes to leave all the negativity in 2024, the chart-topping star later wrote in another X post: "Changing my number tomorrow. New year. Let go."
