Kesha has celebrated the 15th anniversary of her debut album, Animal.

The singer-songwriter unveiled the album on 5 January 2010, with the record featuring hits like Tik Tok, Take It Off, and Your Love Is My Drug.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Kesha shared a series of throwback photos and a video from a photoshoot that were taken while she was promoting the project.

"I spent my whole life learning the art of songwriting from my mom (Pebe Sebert), an iconic songwriter herself, so when Animal came out, it was a culmination of the sounds of growing up, the sounds of falling in love, heartbreak, the sounds of coming of age," she wrote in the caption. "I had no idea what these songs would open up for me and what kind of life I would be creating for myself just by putting these songs out in the world. I'm so happy I did, and so happy you've connected to it the way that you have, and continue to do so."

Kesha went on to note that Tik Tok was back at the top of streaming charts after she performed the track on Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve With Ryan Seacrest last week.

"Just goes to show that we all go through these same pivotal feelings and emotions growing up. I'm so happy to have grown up with all of you," the 37-year-old continued, adding: "Happy anniversary Animal. I had no idea you were that b**ch. But turns out you totally are."

Last year, Kesha announced the launch of her self-titled label, Kesha Records, after settling a long-running legal dispute with Dr. Luke, real name Lukasz Gottwald, in June 2023.

The star has promised to release new music this year.
