Britney Spears updated her fans after the Los Angeles fire crisis left her unable to share messages for two days.

The 43-year-old music icon could not recharge her phone for two days due to power outages caused by the raging fires.

On Friday, she revealed that she had been forced to evacuate her home to find safe shelter as the fires continued to spread around the city.

Taking to Instagram to share a video clip of intricately designed doll shoes, the Gimmie More singer wrote, "I hope you are all doing OK!

"I had to evacuate my home and I'm driving 4 hours to a hotel! I'm posting these adorable shoes to lift people's spirits!"

Revealing details of her own experience of the horrifying disaster, she continued, "Most people may not even be on their phones! I wasn't the past two days because I had no electricity to charge and I just got my phone back!"

She added, "I pray you're all doing well and I send my love."

A number of A-List stars have seen their homes destroyed by the raging fires - with Paris Hilton, Anthony Hopkins, Adam Brody and Miles Teller among those confirming their mansions have been reduced to ash.

The fires have so far forced 179,000 people to evacuate their properties - with the number of homes destroyed reported to be in excess of 1,000.
