Priscilla Presley has marked the second anniversary of her daughter Lisa Marie Presley's death with an emotional post.

The 79-year-old mourned the late singer-songwriter via Instagram on Sunday 12 January, two years after she died at the age of 54.

"'I miss you more than words can say. I wish I could hold you, talk to you, see your smile just one more time. I wish you could see how much you are still loved, how deeply you are missed by all of us who carry you in our hearts.' -Mom," she wrote alongside a picture of her daughter.

Lisa Marie, the only child of Priscilla and Elvis Presley, suffered a cardiac arrest on 12 January 2023 and died later that day. According to the autopsy, she died of a small bowel obstruction caused by prior bariatric surgery.

Her daughter, actress Riley Keough, also marked the occasion on her Instagram Stories. She shared a screenshot from a FaceTime call with her mother alongside a heart emoji, and posted two throwback snaps of Lisa Marie with her daughters Harper and Finley Lockwood as babies. The twins are now 16 years old.

"Two years (heart emoji) I love you always," the Daisy Jones & The Six star captioned the first post, before adding in the second: "I can't believe it's been 2 years, I miss you and love you so much mama (heart and dove emojis)."

Lisa Marie was in the middle of working on an autobiography when she passed away. Riley completed the book, From Here to the Great Unknown, and it was released in October.
