Trevor Noah has been confirmed as the host for the 2025 Grammy Awards - of which he is also a nominee.

It marks the fifth year in a row that the South African comedian has been given the honour of hosting the event.

And he could walk off with one of the gongs, as he is nominated for Best Comedy Album for his offering, Where Was I - facing competition from Ricky Gervais, Dave Chappelle, Jim Gaffigan and recent Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser.

The 2025 Grammy Awards will take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday 2 February - despite the fact wildfires are continuing to cause chaos around the Californian city.

Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason, Jr, previously explained the decision to continue with the awards amid the disaster.

He said in a statement last week, "In challenging times, music has the power to heal, comfort, and unite like nothing else. The Grammys will not only honour the artistry and achievements of our music community but also serve as a platform to amplify the spirit of resilience that defines this great city of Los Angeles."

Meanwhile, Noah has previously explained how much he enjoys hosting the annual music ceremony.

He told CBS last ahead of the 2024 event, "I don't know what's going to happen. So that's what I love about the Grammys is it's live; it's happening; it's on the fly."
