Rihanna has opened up about feeling "resentment" trying to balance motherhood and her career.

The music icon and businesswoman has two children, RZA and Riot, born in 2022 and 2023, with her boyfriend A$AP Rocky.

In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, Rihanna admitted that she struggles to balance her time between motherhood, her career and doing things for herself.

"Every decision I make is about them, but everything I do that I love takes away from them," the 37-year-old shared, referring to her sons. "So I have a weird resentment towards the things I love. You almost feel like something is always suffering for you to show up somewhere".

The Diamonds hitmaker went on to explain that she is so busy that her mind is not always fully focused on the task at hand.

"When you show up, it's not 100 per cent because there's something else on the wheel. It's actually given me a lot more self-guilt," she continued. "I don't like letting people down, but I also know that most of the time, it's me letting myself down, which means something has to change, but everything is on the wheel all the time."

The Fenty Beauty founder told the publication that she has to "remind myself" that she chose to be a working mother.

She stated, "I'm trying to find a balance so that I feel fulfilled when I show up for something, so I don't feel guilty."
