Puddle of Mudd frontman arrested on DV and drug charges
Puddle of Mudd frontman Wes Scantlin has been arrested on domestic violence charges.
Police were called to an apartment in Torrance, California, after reports of an alleged domestic dispute.
TMZ reported that police received a call to an apartment around 3am on Wednesday over a fight.
When officers arrived at the scene, they talked to Scantlin and his girlfriend and determined the couple had got into a verbal argument that allegedly turned physical.
Police reportedly noticed marks on the woman's arms and Scantlin was arrested. During a search of his person, police allegedly found a small amount of a controlled substance.
Scantlin was then charged with felony domestic violence and possession of a controlled substance. According to online magazine Consequence Sound, he remains in a Los Angeles county jail with bail set at $90,000 (£70,000).
Scantlin has had multiple run-ins with the law over the past decade.
Last year, he was reportedly arrested and pepper sprayed following a police stand-off.
The musician was previously arrested in 2017 for allegedly attempting to board a plane with a gun.
In 2016 he pleaded not guilty to a felony vandalism charge after being arrested at the Hollywood home he lost in foreclosure.
