Phoebe Bridgers has reacted to her Boygenius bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker confirming their relationship.

After much speculation, Lucy confirmed the relationship in an interview with The New Yorker, published on Monday.

While the singer didn't make the romance publicly official in her own words, reporter Amanda Petrusich wrote in the profile, "Dacus is now in a committed relationship with Baker."

In response to her bandmates' relationship being made public, Phoebe comically shared a photo of the trio on her Instagram Stories, with her face blurred out and a heart framing Lucy and Julien.

Speaking to The New Yorker about the speculation surrounding their relationship, Lucy said that her fans have respected her boundaries.

However, the singer then noted that "it only takes a handful to make your life feel like a really easily threatened thing".

She added, "I've been practicing not reinforcing that narrative to myself."

Lucy also reflected on the fine line between keeping her life private and using her experiences to write songs.

"It's been interesting, because I want to protect what is precious in my life, but also to be honest, and make art that's true," she told the publication. "I think maybe a part of it is just trusting that it's not at risk."

The Not Strong Enough hitmaker continued, "Maybe a healthier way to think about it is that it's not actually fragile. These songs are about different people."

The indie rock supergroup is currently on hiatus while the three bandmates pursue separate projects.

Lucy's fourth solo album, Forever Is a Feeling, will be released on 28 March.
