Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy breaks down on camera

The late Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has broken down on camera.

The late singer's partner was moved to tears after opening boxes of items from their shared life together.

Kate, 25, shared a video on social media in which she faced her fears and opened boxes she had packed away in the wake of Liam's October passing.

"I've had these boxes sitting down here in my basement for probably three or four months now," she explained.

"I have just been absolutely dreading opening up these boxes and going through these things because they're just like the things I had in the last couple of months and weeks with Liam."

Kate tearfully shared she had found a box containing her dress from a wedding she and Liam had attended.

"I open this box - I'm really trying to pull it together right now - and I found this dress," she went on. "This dress actually brings me so much peace and comfort because the memory that me and Liam had in this dress was a memory I will never forget."

She explained she and Liam had "danced the night away", ruining her shoes in the process, and expressed relief at not having thrown them away.

"I just can't even believe I didn't throw these out," Kate said. "And I'm so glad I didn't."

Liam died on 16 October 2024, after the former One Direction star fell from a hotel balcony in Argentina.
