Mark Morrison has been arrested for battery in Florida.
The Return of the Mack singer is returning to court after his arrest over the weekend.
The British R&B star was detained by authorities following an altercation at a Palm Beach restaurant, TMZ reports.
According to Palm Beach Police, eyewitnesses claim Morrison shoved the Le Bar à Vin's manager, Nicola Lavacca, twice after becoming frustrated over an event he had started planning with the venue the day before.
He was released on bail with an arraignment date set for 15 April at the Palm Beach County Courthouse.
The singer, known for the mid-1990s international club hits Crazy, Let's Get Down and Return of the Mack, is no stranger to legal infractions - and has previously served time behind bars.
At the height of his career, he was sentenced to a three-month jail sentence after being convicted in 1997 for attempting to bring a stun gun aboard an aircraft.
A year later, Morrison was reportedly arrested on his way to Barbados after missing a court appearance for charges related to possessing an offensive weapon - a charge that was later dismissed.
After being sentenced to community service for his involvement in a brawl that resulted in a fatality in 1998, he was sentenced to 12 months for having a lookalike perform his court-ordered community service for him while he was away on tour.
