Live Odyssey has announced an exclusive collaboration with John Lennon’s sister, Julia Baird, for its grand opening on May 22nd. This immersive, artistically driven exhibition offers an unprecedented glimpse into John Lennon’s life and legacy, detailing his early years and rise to global fame with The Beatles. Through the deeply personal recollections of his sister, audiences will experience an intimate portrayal of Lennon’s unorthodox childhood, his family bonds, and the profound impact of his mother’s tragic passing.
This groundbreaking, multi-sensory exhibition combines art, soundscapes, projections, rare artefacts, and live performances, bringing Lennon’s journey to life in a way never seen before. The experience guides visitors through his inspirations, influences, and personal milestones, allowing fans to form a unique emotional connection with the legendary musician.
Julia Baird sheds light on the childhood struggle between John’s mother and his Aunt Mimi over his custody. Although Aunt Mimi ultimately won, Lennon remained close to his mother, developing his deep love for music under her influence. His formative years with Paul McCartney, the heartbreaking loss of his mother in a tragic accident, and the impact of his rise to fame are explored in raw, candid detail.
"I'm pleased to tell the inside story of my brother John at Live Odyssey," says Julia Baird.
