Sean 'Diddy' Combs hit with new lawsuit
Sean "Diddy" Combs has been accused of assault in a new lawsuit.
A male photographer has filed a lawsuit accusing the rap impresario of assaulting him on the set of a commercial.
The accuser, identified only as "John Doe" in the filing, claimed he was working as a "production photographer" when the alleged assault took place.
The filing alleged Doe was instructed to escort Combs onto the set of the shoot after he had taken a break in his trailer in between takes.
Despite an on-set rule that no crew was permitted to enter stars' trailers, the photographer alleged Combs encouraged him to do so, hinting it would help his career.
Once he was inside the trailer, the photographer alleged, Combs made sexual advances towards him. Despite identifying as straight, the photographer alleged he felt coerced into performing a sexual act on the rapper after Combs allegedly told him, "I'll make your career take off".
Combs' legal team has strenuously denied the allegations via a statement.
"No matter how many lawsuits are filed - especially by individuals who refuse to put their own names behind their claims - it won't change the fact that Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or sex trafficked anyone - man or woman, adult or minor," the statement read.
"We live in a world where anyone can file a lawsuit for any reason. Fortunately, a fair and impartial judicial process exists to find the truth, and Mr. Combs is confident he will prevail in court."
The 55-year-old rapper has been incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York since his arrest on 16 September 2024 on a range of charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
