Normani has confessed she was "oblivious" that her boyfriend planned to propose to her.
The 28-year-old American singer was stunned when National Football League hunk DeKaylin Zecharius 'DK' Metcalf, 27, proposed last month.
The couple had been together since 2022 and the Motivation singer insists she had no idea that the Pittsburgh Steelers player was going to ask her to be his wife.
Appearing on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Friday, the former Fifth Harmony star revealed, "I had absolutely no idea (DK was going to propose). As oblivious as oblivious can get, that was me."
Later, she replied, "Absolutely," when asked if she hoped to have children with her soon-to-be husband - and added, "My dream has always been four. I want a big family."
Speaking freely about her romance, Normani also explained that fellow pop singer Ciara helped match her with Metcalf.
She revealed, "(Ciara) kept telling me, 'There's this guy, there's this guy,' for literally like two years.
"I was in a relationship at the time... but then when the time came around and the time was right, God put all of that together."
During a truth or dance style game with Hudson, Normani also revealed she would pick Ciara to officiate her wedding as she teased plans for her big day.
