Kid Cudi has addressed an alleged incident of Sean 'Diddy' Combs arranging for his car to be set ablaze.
The American singer, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, 41, testified in the ongoing court case against Combs, 55, who stands accused of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution - all charges to which he has pleaded not guilty.
Mescudi has been connected to the case as he previously dated Combs's ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, 38, and the relationship allegedly enraged the I'll Be Missing You rapper.
Ventura previously told the court in her own testimony that Combs had been angry over her relationship with the younger musician and threatened to have Mescudi's car blown up.
On Thursday, Mescudi took the stand at the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York where he discussed an incident from January 2012.
The musician recounted that his dog sitter called him between 6:30 to 7:30am on that date to warn that his car was on fire.
He said, per PEOPLE, "She told me my car was on fire. I immediately went to my house."
He then recounted arriving to find his Porsche convertible had been damaged beyond repair, and stated, "The top of my Porsche was cut open and that's where they inserted the Molotov cocktail."
PEOPLE reports that Mescudi also recounted discovering that Combs had broken into his home at one point in 2011 and that he reported both the break-in and the fire to police at the times they happened.
It is claimed that Combs later called Mescudi and demanded to speak to him about his relationship with Ventura.
Mescudi told the court, "He wanted to get to the bottom of it and figure it out.
"But post-break-in, I didn't want to talk to him. I told him, 'You broke into my house and messed with my dog, I don't want to talk to you.'"
The case continues.
