The 2025 British Grand Prix weekend burst into life tonight at Silverstone with a electrifying performance from Geordie superstar Sam Fender. Kicking off one of the UK's biggest music and sporting events, Fender delivered a show-stopping set that set the tone for an unmissable four-day festival.

Before Fender took to the stage, indie rock quintet Blossoms warmed up the roaring crowd with their signature guitar-driven melodic hits, including 'Charlemagne,' 'Your Girlfriend,' and the fan favourite 'Gary.' Wheeling on an 8-foot fibreglass gorilla statue named 'Gary' the Blossoms' frontman, Tom Ogden revealed the song was inspired by a real-life incident where this very gorilla was stolen from a garden centre in Scotland, which ultimately became the title track of their fifth album.

Sam Fender then cranked up the energy, closing out night one with anthems like 'Seventeen Going Under,' 'People Watching,' and 'Hypersonic Missiles,' solidifying Silverstone's reputation for world-class entertainment.

Following a record-breaking attendance in 2024, Silverstone is upping the ante this year with an all-British music lineup celebrating Formula 1's 75th anniversary. The weekend promises an eclectic mix of talent, cementing the British Grand Prix as a summer highlight for both sport and music enthusiasts.

Today, RAYE will headline the main stage, performing her first UK outdoor show of 2025, with support from former Little Mix star JADE, bringing her unique blend of pop and R&B. Saturday sees legendary DJ Fatboy Slim take over with his genre-defining beats, supported by Swedish-English singer Mabel. The main stage will conclude on Sunday with Brit Award-winning singer-songwriter and dance music powerhouse Becky Hill, joined by actor and musician Idris.

Beyond the main stage, the T1 Afterparties will feature prominent British DJs. Tonight, Eats Everything performed, with DJ Luck & MC Neat bringing their distinctive UK garage sound on Friday. Saturday will see Sub Focus deliver his dynamic electronic set, and Mike Skinner of The Streets will close the afterparties on Sunday with a special DJ set.

"This year, Silverstone is proud to showcase the best of British talent," said Silverstone's Chief Commercial Officer Nick Read. "Our all-British music lineup reflects our commitment to delivering world-class entertainment that resonates with fans both on and off the track."
