Paul Weller has just dropped "Clive's Song," the fourth track from his highly anticipated new album, Find El Dorado, set to be released on July 25th via Parlophone Records. This latest offering features none other than rock icon Robert Plant, marking a significant collaboration that highlights Weller’s deepening dive into the folk and blues vanguard of the 1960s and early 1970s British and Irish music scene.

"Clive's Song," originally penned by Clive Palmer, a founding member of Incredible String Band, for Hamish Imlach's 1971 album Old Rarity, is a relatively undiscovered gem. However, for avowed folk and blues aficionado Robert Plant, the invitation from Weller to record at Black Barn was met with immediate enthusiasm. According to fellow West Midlander Steve Cradock, the session was an undisputed highlight. Plant, a walking treasury of musical history, regaled those present with tales of witnessing legends like Son House and Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee at the American Folk Blues Festival in Birmingham in 1967. During the recording, he and Weller seamlessly swapped between harmonies and lead vocals, with Plant punctuating the track with a powerful harmonica solo that billows through the song.

Find El Dorado is more than just a covers album; it's a bold and personal collection of reinterpretations, a heartfelt tribute to the songs that have profoundly influenced Paul Weller's life and career. By revisiting these tracks, Weller infuses them with fresh meaning, reverence, and emotional insight, shining a new light on music that has long resonated with him.

The album features a diverse tracklist, reimagining songs from artists such as Richie Havens, The Kinks, Bee Gees, and more. Fans can pre-order Find El Dorado now.
