Madrid-born singer/songwriter Enrique Iglesias made history this week when he broke the record for the most number one songs on Billboard's infamous music charts. Outshining stars such as Mariah Carey (18) and The Beatles (20), Enrique has now made it to 21 in total.
Up until now, this superstar was tied with Mariah Carey, who held the record with 20 #1 songs on the Hot 100 and The Beatles who held 18 on the same chart.
In a cumulative frame by week, Enrique Iglesias was tied with 79 weeks total of number one hits. However, with his last single he breaks yet another record totalling 85 weeks total of number one hits.
With more than 40 million albums sold worldwide in only 13 years of his career, and one irreplaceable record of number one hits, Enrique confirms his place as one of the most successful artists in music industry.
Enrique is currently in the UK promoting his Greatest Hits album which is released on 3rd of November ahead of his new single Away which is out 1st December.
