AC/DC played to a crowd of 3,500 at the Wachovia Arena last night in Wilkes-Barre, PA as part of an invite-only private show.

Fans flocked from all over the world to take part in the performance produced as a special thank-you gift to AC/DC’s loyal supporters. Attendees were selected as part of wide-ranging contests via AC/DC’s web properties (acdc.com and acdcrocks.com), Internet partners and radio stations; no tickets were available for purchase.

Days prior to the show, fans taking part in the “Rock ‘N’ Roll Caravan” gathered in cities across America to converge in a secret location later revealed to be Wilkes-Barre, PA. Upon arrival, they were treated to AC/DC karaoke (complete with cover band), egg tosses, potato sack races and an overall atmosphere of brotherhood and debauchery.

AC/DC performed a raucous 90 minute set filled with classics such as “TNT”, “Back in Black” and “You Shook Me All Night Long” as well as new songs such as “Rock ‘N’ Roll Train” and “Black Ice” from their latest release, Black Ice. Fans sang along and pumped their fists in time to the beat while AC/DC’s trademark pyrotechnics and cannon shots were fired from a technologically-impressive set outfitted with a full-size train and animated graphics.

AC/DC’s Black Ice World Tour opens on October 28th at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The worldwide tour - the band's first since 2001 - promotes Black Ice, AC/DC's latest studio album. Black Ice was released on October 20th and sold in the US exclusively at Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, and www.acdc.com.
