House of Fraser is set to play host to a superb showcase of talent in preparation for the seasonal festivities as the Big Band sound of Charlie Francis returns to the Oxford Street store to switch on the Christmas lights on Wednesday 12th November.

Charlie Francis, 25, is being championed as the ‘next big thing’ by X-Factor Austin’s former vocal coach, David Gregory and is sure to add the Xtra-factor to the event, which attracts crowds of thousands each year. Mannequins in the shop displays will be cast aside to make way for the pocket-sized singer as he performs live, with the music being piped around the store.

Charlie has landed this prime-time slot as a result of the incredible success of his previous performance from the window of the department store last month, where he stopped huge crowds of shoppers in their tracks with his fantastic repertoire with the store reporting a 300% increase in sales for the day! House of Fraser’s management were so impressed that they invited Charlie down for the Christmas event to treat customers to his voice, which is reminiscent of the swinging sounds of the great Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Harry Connick Jnr. Christmas revellers can expect to be wowed by old favourites such as “Come Fly With Me” and “Mack the Knife” mixed with the more contemporary songs of Michael Buble.

Other artists on the bill for the Christmas Lights event include Sophie Ellis Bextor and the Sugababes so it will be a fantastic opportunity to see the best of British talent in the heart of London’s West-End! To experience the pre-festive buzz and for an enjoyable evening of musical indulgence come along to support Charlie at the House of Fraser store on Oxford Street next Wednesday 12th November.
