Lil Wayne recording rock album

Canadian rapper Drake has said that Lil Wayne is recording a new rock album.

Toronto MC Drake, who collaborates on a track, said that Wayne was inspired to experiment more after guesting on Kanye West's new album 808s and Heartbreak.

He told MuchMusic.com: "Wayne's coming out with a new album, it's a rock album. A complete rock album. I have a song on there.

"It’s something different, just like 808s & Heartbreak, just throwing individuals off."

Embracing rock music is a dramatic departure for Wayne, whose last album, Tha Carter III, sold one million copies worldwide in its opening week last summer.
