The Girls Aloud star - who is currently dating DJ Tom Crane – admits she can be slightly overbearing at the start of a relationship, but insists she soon relaxes her attitude.
She said: "At the beginning of a relationship I'm clingy but after six months it changes. I like my independence."
Sarah – who has been in a relationship with Tom for almost three years – insists she has now put her partying lifestyle behind her and loves nothing more than spending time at home with her boyfriend.
She explained in an interview with LOOK magazine: "On Sundays we make sure we have either a cinema night, go out for food or cook at home. We rent loads of DVDs. We've got a massive list we're working out way through!
“We're not a clingy couple - when we go out Tom does his thing and I stick with the girls."
Girls Aloud are currently on hiatus and the 28-year-old beauty – who has undertaken several acting projects - admits she is enjoying her time away from touring with the group because she can be a “housewife”.
She said: "Now I'm doing normal days, I go home and make dinners - a bit like a housewife."
