M.I.A. wants to wear a white suit when she gets married.
The Paper Planes star who has 16-month-old son Ikhyd with her fiance Benjamin Bronfman insists she has never wanted to don a traditional dress and veil to walk down the aisle because she was so impressed by a mystery couple s marriage outfits.
She explained: I've always wanted to get married in a white suit.
I used to work at a Kodak lab in England, cutting photos after they'd come out of the wash, and in one I saw this couple getting married on a beach in white suits, and their kid was there."
The rapper whose real name is Maya Arulpragasam recently relocated her family from Brooklyn, New York, to an upmarket area of California to give Ikhyd a better quality of life.
She explained to America s GQ magazine: "I wanted an environment where I could have a lot of friends and family come and stay. That was the important part for me.
And in New York I wouldn't have been able to afford someplace where I could have, like, all my friends come and crash out and where I could still have a baby."
M.I.A. dotes on her son and is amazed at the youngster s abilities.
She added: "Today he climbed out of the pen, he had to take the door kind of off the hinges and move it aside to get around. And that's amazing, that he's figured it out already - and that he's strong enough to do that."
