Pearl Jam stop set in crush fear

The crowd’s safety prompts the grunge band to stop a headline performance.

Pearl Jam were forced to stop mid set when headlining at Poland’s Heineken Open-er Festival on Thursday night amid fears for the crowd’s safety.

It seems that certain members of the audience were being crushed directly infront of the band. This led lead singer Eddie Vedder to temporarily stop the band’s set.

The rekindled tragic memories of the Roskilde Festival tragedy where, during Pearl Jam’s set, nine fans were trampled under foot and suffocated following a crowd surge.
