Axl Rose is suing Activision, the makers of Guitar Hero, for $20 million.

Reuters reports that the Guns N Roses dictator is suing the video game company for “breach of contract” for using the Gunners classic ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ in Guitar Hero III: Legends Of Rock.

Seems Axl stipulated that the only way he was going to approve the use of the song is if Activision wouldn’t feature former Gunners guitarist Slash or his new band Velvet Revolver in the game.

In the suit, he complained about “an animated depiction of Slash, with his signature black top hat, long dark curly hair, dark sunglasses and nose-piercing” on the box.

He also quesions the use of ‘Sweet Child O’ Mine’ in an online promo for Guitar Hero III when he only licensed it for Guitar Hero II.

Rose’s lawyer says the $20 million damages is to hold Activision accountable for misuse of “incredibly valuable assets”.

Activision are yet to respond.
