AC/DC drummer busted In New Zealand

AC/DC drummer Phil Rudd has been charged with marijuana possession in a New Zealand court leading to questions of whether the charge will hurt the group's ability to tour.

Rudd was arrested in October 7 after the police raided his boat which was anchored at the Tauranga Beach Marina in North Island. They found 25 grams (.88 ounces) of pot on board.

Rudd and his lawyer appeared in Tauranga District Court last Tuesday with Phil pleading guilty; however, his lawyer asked for leniency, saying that the conviction on the charge could make international touring difficult. Magistrate Robyn Paterson refused and gave Rudd the full charge along with a fine of $186 and $99 in court costs. The judge told the drummer "It was not just an accident. You were blindly ignoring the law. You have been playing Russian roulette."
