Chaz Bono thinks he would be a good talk show host.
The Dancing with the Stars contestant appeared on last night’s Tonight Show With Jay Leno.
When asked what he wanted to do in the future Chaz admitted that he “would love” to act.
“But you're not going to get a real job are you?" Jay Leno quizzed, at which point Chaz jokingly retorted, "I think I could do your job pretty well!"
Earlier in the interview Jay tackled some more serious issues with Chaz.
As the first transgender contestant on Dancing with the Stars, the son of Sonny and Cher has been the focus of some negative attention.
Chaz has come under fire from some viewers who are worried about their children watching a transgender person on TV and wanting to be like them. The 42-year-old doesn’t let the comments worry him.
"I kind of just let it roll off my back,” he shrugged. “Obviously if you don't have gender dysphoria you're not going to watch me and want to change your sex. But I also look at the value for people and kids who are dealing with that, if I had seen someone like myself on TV when I was growing up it would have made all the difference in the world for me."
