Following the news that Sting is celebrating 25 years as one of the most successful UK singer/songwriters with a new tour and the recent release of Sting: 25 Years, the definitive box set collection, PRS for Music today reveals his top ten most played hits.*
“Fields of Gold,” released in 1993 on the album ‘Ten Summoner’s Tales’, is the number one most played hit by the Tyneside artist, who has become one of the UK’s most accomplished music ‘exports’ ever.

The track, “Shape of My Heart”, from the same album, and the 1988 release “Englishman in New York” based on the life of the eccentric Quentin Crisp, came 2nd and 3rd in the poll, respectively. The chart also includes the iconic track “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic,” which Sting re-recorded for his Symphonicities album.
