The Drums release the second single from new album ‘Portamento’ today! ‘How It Ended’ is out through Moshi Moshi/Island and comes with a remix by Jeremy from Summer Camp, released online for free download now!
Fast becoming a live favourite, the final track on the record ‘How It Ended’ is released ahead of the band’s full UK headline tour, which starts in a few week’s time - the Manchester and London shows already having sold out. Now a quintet live, The Drums showcase a newfound vitality and rawer, more dynamic sound. Former guitarist Jacob Graham's soaring synthesizers and multi-instrumentalist Myles Matheny's driving live bass have completely revitalised and enriched the live sound, presenting Portamentos songs in a big, bold way and giving new life to fan favourites.
Additionally, The Drums’ new web series, ‘VISIOMENTO’, has a new episode running every Tuesday. Coming up soon, the band has promised; Jacob Graham's "New Technologies In Music", exclusive in-studio performances of songs from Portamento, plus Jonny Pierce interviewing a special guest.
