Danica Muscat to Open Malta Eurovision 2012

The preparations for the upcoming edition of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest have already commenced with the announcement of the twenty four semi-finalists taking place just last Friday during the popular talk show 'Xarabank' hosted by Peppi Azzopardi. The names were not duly surprising in most cases but then again the song quality seems to have drastically improved once more showing the nation as an improving point in the music scene. Many people are expecting news about how the Public Broadcasting Services will proceed now that the names are out and in fact, the next organizational phase will be the draw for the running order which will be taking place later on this afternoon.
We can exclusively reveal that the draw will be taking place at 16:30 CET at the Carslton Suite within the Radisson Hotel. This will then be followed by a meeting with the respective contestants of the upcoming edition in order to brief them with regards to the showcase and how it will be moving forward in the upcoming weeks along with strategies of Public Relations and so forth. It is also expected that the hosts of the show; Elaine Saliba and Ronald Briffa will also be officially announced this afternoon. Although we can confirm that ESCflashmalta was correct in announcing them as the hosts of the 2012 Malta Eurovision Song Contest due to fact that certain confirmations have been duly made.
We have just come to know that the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2012 will be opened by none other than Danica Muscat who will be singing the song '7 Days' written by Philip Vella whilst the performer set to close the show will be none other than Amber who will be performing the song 'Answer With Your Eyes' composed Ray Agius and penned by Alfred C Sant. The rest of the songs have been put in groups which will then be decided through the issues of backing vocalists. During the evening news read out by none other than the 2010 and 2011 male host of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest, it was revealed that this years' competition will be overseen also by a fashion stylist in the form of Carina Camilleri who is known for being the co-host alongside Peter Carbonaro on the lifestyle programme 'Stylewatch'.
In the meantime, Anton Attard, Chief Executive Officer of the Public Broadcasting Services announced that the voting for the upcoming edition will be 75% Jury and 25% Tele-Voting. Another interesting announcement which is yet to be confirmed is that of the venue with the two most possible ones being the Malta Fairs and Conventions Centre in Ta' Qali, the host of the competition in 2003, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 or the Mediterranean Conference Centre in Valletta which was the host of the competition each and every year until 2003 and then 2004 till 2006 and earlier this year. The final note that was announced during the bulletin is that the hosts will be none other than Ronald Briffa and Elaine Saliba, which had been previously exclusively revealed by ESCflashmalta.
