Gorillaz, Andre 3000 and James Murphy collaborate

Gorillaz, Andre 3000 of Outkast and James Murphy of LCD Soundsystem prepare a collaborative tune.

It’s the latest in a series of Converse promotions, putting together three artists to make a new song, which has previously included Kid Cudi, Rostram from Vampire Weekend and Best Coast on ‘All Summer’, and Santigold, Julian Casablancas and Pharrell Williams on ‘My Drive Thru’.

The new tune ‘Do Ya Thing’ unites Damon Albarn’s Gorillaz project, future-funk hero Andre 3000, and the ringleader behind the now-defunct electro project LCD Soundsystem, James Murphy.

It will be released in full on February 23, but Converse have delivered a preview clip, as well as a ‘Making Of’ for a clip which looks pretty damn spectuacular.
