Beyoncé Knowles will “buy a hospital” if her daughter decides to become a doctor, claims the singer’s father.

Beyoncé gave birth to her first child with husband Jay-Z - Blue Ivy Carter - in January.

The superstar’s dad Mathew Knowles says the family couldn’t be happier with the new arrival. He also revealed they will do everything they can to help Blue Ivy in her chosen career path.

“If Blue Ivy wants to be a doctor when she grows up then they would figure how to buy a hospital,” he said. “If she wants to be a basketball player I already own a WNBA team so she can play there and if she wants to be a singer then she would be very happy.”

Mathew went on to reveal that Blue Ivy is growing quickly and is going to be a “really tall kid”.

Mathew helped Beyoncé find fame by managing her girl group Destiny’s Child. He has dismissed reports the 30-year-old is considering joining the judging panel for the US X Factor after Simon Cowell apparently offered her a deal worth $500 million.

Mathew is adamant that his daughter is not interested in getting involved with the talent show.

“It would never happen as Beyoncé would never do that,” he explained as he spoke at Heart FM’s Have A Heart appeal. “There are a few things that she would never do and that is one. “It’s not for her.”
