T.I.’s upcoming album Trouble Man will be “more aggressive” than his previous works.

The American rapper was released from prison in September 2011 after being incarcerated for a probation violation following a gun charge. His sentence came after he was arrested on drugs charges in Los Angeles.

T.I.’s new music encapsulates the angst he experienced while sitting in jail.

“All of my albums are basically a reflection of where I am in my life at that moment in time,” he told MTV News. “So the biggest difference in the man that I am today and the man that I was then, I guess musically, it's gonna be more aggressive than [my 2008 album] Paper Trail.”

T.I. has ensured that all fans, whether they are familiar with his pop or underground tunes, will appreciate his new record.

“There are so many classes of people and so many different demographics that are looking to T.I. to redeliver their favourite song,” he explained. “I've come to the conclusion that when you service one group of those fans, then there's gonna be another group of fans who feel like, 'He should've done what I wanted him to do.' So you just gotta serve each group, so I'm servicing each group at a time.”

Trouble Man will be released in September.
