Usher kicked off the iTunes festival in London last night (01.09.12), with an energetic performance at the city's Roundhouse venue.

The 'Yeah!' hitmaker got the party started on the opening night of the month-long free festival at the city's Roundhouse venue with a hit packed set and his trademark super-smooth dance moves.

The muscular singer may have slipped over as he performed 'You Make Me Wanna', but after a cheeky suggestion from his backing dancers, did

40 push-ups for the crowd to make up for it.

Usher went on to describe London as his "home from home" and also joked about his Wikipedia profile incorrectly giving his middle name as "Terry."

The singer's set featured hits including 'Burn', 'OMG', 'Climax', 'Scream' and his collaboration with David Guetta, 'Without You'.

Earlier Usher told how he had planned to collaborate with the late Amy Winehouse, but was unable to get in the studio with her before her death from accidental alcohol poisoning in July last year.

He told the Metro newspaper: "I've not really collaborated with any British women but the one person I wanted to is not here anymore, Amy Winehouse.

"She and I met at [department store] Selfridges, believe it or not. It was very bizarre.

"We exchanged information, she invited me to a show and we were just in the process of talking about a collaboration but unfortunately, we didn't get to do it."

The iTunes festival continues tonight (02.09.12) with a performance by Ed Sheeran, supported by Charli XCX, The festival will also feature performances from Pink, The Killers, Lana Del Rey and One Direction as it runs throughout September.
