With two top 10 albums already under their belt, Oxford five-piece Foals prepare to return with their third and most exhilarating album yet. The new album is titled ‘Holy Fire’ and is due for UK release Feb 11th 2013.
Foals also announce their first solo London show since O2 Academy Brixton in 2010.
As part of the Albert Sessions, Foals will also be taking part in a number of Royal Albert Hall education initiatives around their gig as part of the Hall’s extensive public benefit remit. These will include a music workshop with teenagers from around London, a press conference for young journalists and a Q&A careers session with Peter Mensch from Q Prime management, which will offer students a unique opportunity to present their questions to one of the biggest names in music management.
Holy Fire has been recorded by prestigious production duo Flood & Moulder at Assault and Battery studios in London. Their previous work includes Smashing Pumpkins, PJ Harvey, Nine Inch Nails, and The Killers.
Electrifying comeback track ‘Inhaler” Inhaler will go to radio on Monday 5th November, and will be instantly available to download when the album goes up to pre-order on iTunes. An epic, blistering, shamanistic purging of the soul – this is three urgent mins where Foals set out to raise the dead. Heavier than anything they have written before it nevertheless shines with their inimitable groove and funk.
