PSY 'Gangnam Style' hits billion YouTube views

PSY ‘Gangnam Style’ has been viewed more than 1 billion times on YouTube.

As of Saturday night at 9pm (AEDT) Gangnam Style had been viewed 1,013,328,592 times.

In a Twitter post earlier today PSY wrote “Finally becomes #BillionStyle”.

PSY, the 34-year old South Korean rapper whose real name is Park Jae-sang, released his first album ‘PSY from the PSYcho World’ in 2001. He had four number one hits in South Korea before ‘Gangham Style’.

This week U.S. President admitted that he tried dancing ‘Gangnam Style’ in The White House but embarrassed his daughters. After meeting the President, PSY said, “he told me he’s good at ‘Gangnam Style’ but that the ladies at his house are embarrassed when he’s dancing so he’s not doing it.”

The President told People magazine “There are things I like that they think are cheesy, like ‘Gangnam Style.’
