Ricky Martin practised for his stint on The Voice by closing his eyes and hitting his computer.
The singer stars on the Australian version of the show, where hopeful musicians audition while the mentor's backs are turned.
Ricky practised for his gig alongside Joel Madden, Seal and Delta Goodrem by recreating the scenario in his own home.
"I saw the American version but I also saw the Australian version because I wanted to see the dynamic and I needed to start practising," he explained to Australian radio show hosts Kyle and Jackie O.
"I would close my eyes and hit the computer and pretend! I would see that [the mentors] didn't turn and I'd get kind of annoyed and think, 'Is it me? Is it my judgement?'"
Ricky's co-stars Seal and Delta have been romantically linked, but have so far denied they are an item.
The 41-year-old joked he doesn't take an active part when it was suggested the mentors are all dating one another.
"They're not inviting me, what the hell?" he laughed. "I'm just the voyeur? I can just sit there and watch?"
The singer is currently dating economist Carlos González Abella and has four-year-old twin boys Matteo and Valentino, born via surrogate.
Ricky takes fatherhood seriously and wouldn't think twice about expanding his brood.
"Every decision that I make is based on the wellbeing of my kids; it's about raising my kids to be good grownups. I can't control it, but I can do my best! They have very different personalities, but they are great," he smiled.
"I love kids and there are more to come; I want more, a big family!"
