Sinéad O’Connor releases her brand new single ‘Old Lady’ through One Little Indian on 27th May 2013.

‘Old Lady’ is the third single to be taken from her critically acclaimed album ‘How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?’ Her ninth studio album, and the latest release in a career spanning 25 years and millions of record sales worldwide, ‘How About I Be Me (And You Be You)?’ ranks as one of her best and most confident pieces of work so far.

Sinéad is currently on tour in Europe having completed her recent run of four special intimate shows in unusual London venues which led The Times to say ‘O’Connor still possesses one of the most moving voices in pop’, The Independent to call her performance ‘seriously good…faultless’ and the Daily Telegraph to declare ‘there still isn’t anyone who compares to her’.

Now Sinéad brings her live show back to the UK with three major upcoming performances at Brighton Festival on 8th May at the Brighton Dome, BBC Radio 2DAY at Hackney Empire in London on 10th May and finally at Glastonbury where she headlines the Acoustic Stage on 28th June.

‘How About I Be Me (And You Be You)’ contains ten tracks that play like an encyclopaedic definition of O’Connor’s oeuvre: songs about love and loss, hope and regret, pain and redemption, anger and justice. This is an album of consistently moving, exciting, brilliant and beautiful songs built around Sinéad’s voice at its very best – raw and passionate.

The album has had a fantastic reception from fans and critics alike with The Guardian calling it ‘Joyous, brave and her most accessible in years’; The Sun ‘A qualified return to form’; The Observer ‘the high priestess of pop has recovered her mojo’; The Independent ‘feisty, fresh and confident’; GQ ‘A work of subtle beauty’ and The Evening Standard ‘this new record rightly re-establishes Sinéad as an astonishing vocal talent’.
