Marc Anthony's ex-girlfriend reportedly felt like she was "living in Jennifer Lopez's shadow".
The Latin popstar and British Topshop heiress Chloe Green began dating around February, but it was recently revealed that the pair called time on their relationship.
Chloe is said to have felt eclipsed by Marc's ex-wife Jennifer when they were together.
"Chloe understood that Jen was going to be part of the equation as the mother of Marc's kids, but she's convinced he's still in love with her. He has family photos all over the house, including near his bed. When Chloe asked him about it, he'd act awkwardly and get very defensive. She felt like she's always be living in Jen's shadow," a source told British magazine Closer.
Marc and Jennifer have five-year old twins Max and Emme together. Although Chloe was pictured getting on with the kids famously, a source revealed the 22-year-old star didn't want to be tied down at such a young age.
"Chloe felt like she was too young to act like a stepmom, so even though she was gutted Marc ended things, she was also slightly relieved. She knew it would never last," an insider added.
Twice-married Marc has been a friend of the Green family for years, even joining them on family holidays. Marc began dating Chloe just months after splitting from his model girlfriend Shannon De Lima.
Jennifer is currently in a relationship with backing dancer Casper Smart, 25.
